Whether you are a single mother juggling two jobs just to put food on the table, or maybe a middle-class family with a steady career. Regardless of where you fall on this spectrum, whether you have one job or multiple, or even if you're a business owner—every mom reaches a point where she's overwhelmed. This space is for all those moms seeking a place to share, to find support, and to hear, 'Hey, you're not alone.'

Just because you have more in life doesn't mean you're not entitled to feel overwhelmed. The saying goes, 'Begin with the end in mind,' but for me, Overworked Mums is about expressing myself—sharing frustrations and inspirations. It's a platform for collective sharing, not just my perspective. It's not just my blog; it's for moms by moms. I hope other moms will contribute, as every viewpoint is welcome here.

I write here to have a space to express myself freely, without needing permission or aiming to please everyone. If this website or podcast isn't your style, that's okay; there are plenty of other spaces online. We're not here to spread hate but to spread support.

Let me give you some background. I have an 8-year-old son. Let’s call him my little lion. He attends a learner-driven school that groups kids by ability, not age. They follow Socratic principles, focusing on philosophy and independent learning, nurturing curiosity rather than rigid curriculum.

I wish I'd had that kind of education. Growing up, I did well academically—top of my class, deputy prefect, the quintessential teacher’s pet. But despite ticking all the boxes, something felt missing. I discovered a new world after reading non-fiction books at 16, exploring self-help, mindset, and motivation. It taught me that knowledge means little if you can't manage your mind or relationships.

I've learned that beyond academics, things like motivation, mindset, and ego-checking are vital. Recognizing our tiny place in the universe is humbling. In overwhelming times—even through traffic jams, work stress, or kid tantrums—I remind myself to breathe and step back. In moments like that, big-picture thinking doesn't always cut it.

I've self-taught myself motivation and holistic thinking. I've read hundreds of books, listened to hundreds of hours of podcast and watched tons of videos (not sure if I reached 100 hours), but I still don't claim to have all the answers. I'm continually on a journey to find peace—a peace that's often fleeting—because real-world problems are persistent. While I don't consider myself an expert in mindset, motivation, or contentment, I'm here to share my take on it, drawing from years of reading and personal reflection.
